Poetry - This Year

This year
I'm going to try something new
This year
I'm going to find more things to do
This year
I'm going to walk that extra mile
This year
I'm going to try more to smile
This year
Is my year
This year
I will have no fear
This year
I'm going to change my ways
This year
I'm going to challenge them days
When I'm frustrated or depress
This year
I'm not going to put up with that mess
This year
I'm not going to show any slack
This year
I will not be thrown off track
Everyday should be lived
Like it was your last
This year
I'm not going to dwell on the past
And start new
I'm not finished yet
I'm not through
With my life
This year more happiness
Less strife
I know that
I've been through a lot
But I'm not ready to quit
I'm not
This year
Go for it
This year
Enjoy it
This year
You can't stop me from surviving
This year
You can't stop me from striving
Last year is gone
This year is now
God is showing you ways to live
God is showing you how
This year
I will not give in
This year
I will sin
As much as last year
This year less drear
More cheer
This year
Keeping in touch
This year saying
I love you very much
Instead of less
Last year
I must confess
Was hard
It was rough
It was full of surprises
It was tough
Last year was hard on me
I saw things that
I didn't want to see
I experienced more pain
That I ever knew exist
There were some temptations
That I could not resist
But all that helped me
It helped me grow
It helped me survive
Now I know
That everything is going to be all right
This year
I'm going to fight
For what I believe
This year
I will achieve
These are my words
These are words from my heart
This year
A new start
